Mappy Monday: USGS Historic Maps

If you're interested in old maps, the University of New Hampshire Library has made a wonderful resource available. Their website (http://docs.unh.edu/nhtopos/nhtopos.htm) offers two views of topographical maps for many Connecticut towns. I took a look at Middletown's. The first was from 1893; the second was from the mid-20th century. Taken together, they allow an understanding of how Connecticut has changed. It's fascinating if you have family land to study.
